The informal climate conversations we offer in the gallery are based on questions and reflections of the gallery visitors when viewing the work we show. It is also possible to make differently organised climate conversation based on current data and questions with more local relevance to the place we are visiting.

We live with daily news and warnings about how climate change and other environmental and planetary feedback loops are threatening our future but there are few spaces where we can discuss the information’s impact on our lives and what we can do about it.

Research shows that if we can make sense of our thoughts and worries through talking to others, it’s easier to take steps to mitigate things, small or big.  Climate conversations are intended to give people a space to share their concerns in a friendly environment.

By providing these conversations the exhibitors are joining a large movement to provide space to facilitate such conversations all over Scotland. The conversations will be based on the principles set out by SCCAN (The Scottish Climate Community Action Network).
